Intelligent Low Idle equipment is Micro Controller based system. It is used in WDM & WDG Loco’s to save the diesel consumption which in turn saves money to Railways when Loco is running in idle condition for more than predefined time. The system achieves the purpose by automatically reducing the engine speed during Idling.
